| | Restore Disk Creation If your computer crashes and the system restore partition is damaged, it may cost you a lot of money to get it repaired. Let us create a restore disk for you so you will be covered if your restore partition is ever damaged. A technician will: - Provide you with CD or DVD media and create a restore disk using the operating system and manufacturer software.
| | Add PC to existing network A technician will: - Connect any necessary cables.
- Properly configure network setup.
- Ensure that the computer is able to communicate with other devices and the Internet.

Terms of Service | On-site Technical and Performance Services | Data Recovery* Price: $100 Sandstorm can recover data that was accidentally deleted and can also recover data off of a failing hard drive. Data recovery service is not available on site, but we will still go down to your house and pick up the hard drive from you and then redeliver your hard drive and recovered data when we are finished.** A technician will: - Interview you to determine if you are looking to recover specific data so that we may do a better job on your data recovery.
- Remove the hard drive to be serviced from your computer.
- Transport the hard drive to Sandstorm HQ.
- Recover all requested data onto DVD discs.
- Deliver the hard drive and DVDs back to you at no extra charge.
- Help you load the recovered data onto your computer and explain what was recovered.
*Basic price covers first 4.7GB of recovered data. A $10 fee will be assessed for every 4.7GB of data recovered thereafter. Typical recoveries are 4.7GB or less. | | Data Transfer or Data Backup Whether you want to transfer data from an old computer to a new computer or backup important data, we've got you covered! A technician will: - Connect two nearby computers and transfer data.

| | PC Tuneup and Cleaning It is recommended that you get your PC tuned and cleaned out once every three months. Regular maintenance will increase the longevity of your computer and keep it running fast. A technician will: - Open up the computer and blow out dust using compressed air.
- Wipe out any remaining dust with a cloth.
- Delete junk files and perform a disk cleanup.
- Remove active programs that slow down the PC.
- Begin disk defragmentation if it is needed.*
*Disk defragmentation is a process that can take several hours. The technician will start the process and explain what to do when it is done. |

- Research to find the best video cards for your computer, your needs, and price budget.
- Follow up to offer you choices and explain the benefits of the suggested video cards.
- Install your chosen video card.*
- Ensure that the computer recognizes the new video card and is utilizing the new video card properly.
- Download and install the latest driver for the new video card. (Requires internet connection.)
- Ensure that the updated video card driver is functioning properly.
- Attempt to troubleshoot if any problems arise.

Sandstorm is here to help. A technician will: - Connect the device to your desktop or laptop computer.

| | Windows XP or Vista Installation Upgrading your operating system? Let us help your get your new operating system setup quickly. We'll make sure your installation is done correctly and safely. Our operating system installations come in three flavors. - Full System Format Installation - With this type of installation, all traces of the old operating system and old data are deleted and replaced with a fresh copy of the new operating system. This is a great solution if you just want a fresh start!
- Upgrade Installation - We will remove the old operating system and replace it with the new operating system while keeping your data intact.
- Dual-Boot Installation - This type of installation keeps your old operating system and adds on the new one. You will be able to choose which operating system you'd like to boot into during startup. This is a good solution if you have software that will only work with your old operating system.

*Advanced payment is required for any hardware orders. | | System Restore Sometimes a computer is so far gone that the best solution is to perform a system restore and reset your computer to factory conditions. A technician will: - Restore the computer to default factory conditions.
- Start up the system and ensure that it is running properly.
| Spyware and Virus Removal Price: $100 Spyware and viruses can cause annoying popups to flood your screen, preventing you from getting any work done. These malicious programs can also steal any personal information you type into the computer. If your computer has become infected, Sandstorm Technical Services can help you. A technician will: - Fill out a component intake form and transport your computer back to the shop for servicing.
- Remove all virus and spyware infections.
- Clean up your computer of clutter and tuneup the computer.
- Redeliver the computer to your home or business at no additional charge.
To thoroughly remove and ensure that the infection is cleaned, the computer could remain in the shop for up to two days. The computer will be redelivered at a scheduled time at no extra charge. |

- Inspect current computers and devices to determine if they are network ready.
- Recommend hardware required for networking.
- Estimate the cost of the required networking hardware.
- Order hardware needed for networking.*
*Consultation price does not cover the cost of any hardware or cables. We require advanced payment to order any hardware. | | Network setup of computers and/or devices A technician will: - Connect cable connections between modem, router, and computer.
- Configure wireless network encryption and network password.
- Establish internet connection sharing of networked PCs.
- Establish folder and printer sharing of networked devices.
Hardware not included. | | Add additional device to the network Add another device like a PC or printer onto an existing network. A technician will: - Connect any required cables.
- Configure any networked computers to communicate with the added device.
Hardware and cables are not included. | | Network Diagnostic and Troubleshooting Is something causing your networking to not function properly? We'll help you get your network running at maximum speed. A technician will: - Diagnose the network to determine what is causing the problem.
- Troubleshoot the problem if no additional hardware or software is required.
| | Wireless Essential Security Setup Many wireless networks are running insecurely. This means they are not password protected or encrypted and anybody can login to your network. Terms of Service Trip and Service Fees
| Price | Standard Trip Fee Trip fees apply for distances exceeding 15 miles of central Indio. Trip fees are non-refundable.
