Most computers are not running at their full potential. There are many reasons this may be. One of those reasons could be slow or insufficient hardware and another reason could be a lack of regular maintenance. Hardware Improvements
If your hardware is slow or insufficient (and we can help you find out if it is), then we can improve your computer by upgrading the hardware by either adding more to what you've got, or replacing specific slower parts with faster parts. I know what you are thinking. "Well I bet it'll cost an arm and a leg to upgrade my computer. I might as well buy a new one!" Wrong! A new computer costs anywhere between $450-1000. We can give your computer a significant upgrade for only $120. Your price will vary depending on how much you want to upgrade and whether you want to go with faster hardware but $120 is around average. This price includes everything though. $120 will cover the cost of purchasing the hardware and having a technician come to your house and install it for you. If you combine this service with another service of equal or greater value, you can actually have it done for only $100! So would you rather pay $100 to upgrade your computer? Or would you rather spend $450+ to buy another one that might not even be as good as your computer after we upgrade it? If your computer is not worth upgrading, we will let you know! We are not going to lie to you in order to make a quick buck. If your computer is not worth upgrading or can't be upgraded, we'll suggest a new computer for you and even tell you where to go to buy it. At Sandstorm, we always put our customer's priorities first. For more in-depth information on some of our upgrade services, click here or give us a call and we'd be glad to answer any of your questions. Here are a list of hardware upgrade services that can improve your computer. Give us a call to find out if any of these services are right for you. Memory Ordering and Installation Video Card Ordering and Installation Hard Drive Ordering and Installation Regular MaintenanceJust like the performance of a sports car can be improved with regular maintenance, so can the performance of your computer. Luckily, Sandstorm provides a service called PC Tuneup and Cleaning. This is an excellent service that we recommend getting once every three months. Over time, your computer builds up a lot of files that are not needed. These files can take up a lot of space and eventually begin to slow the computer down. This isn't the only threat to your computer. Many computer applications start up automatically when you start your computer and run in the background, taking up resources. Most of these applications don't do anything other than hog your computer resources while you work. When Sandstorm performs a PC tuneup, we get rid of all of these programs that slow your computer down, clear out a lot of junk files, and change settings to improve your computers performance. If your computer hasn't been tuned up in over a year, the difference you will see after a PC tuneup will be clear. Your computer will start up way faster than it did before and run a lot quicker and smoother once it gets going. The other part of this service is the cleaning. By cleaning we mean opening up your computer and cleaning out all of the dust that quickly builds up within computers. Not only does this make your computer clean, but it also makes the computer last longer and run more efficiently. A computer cleaning helps you out in three ways. 1. Increased Computer Life Cleaning the dust out of your computer allows the inside of the computer to receive better airflow. Better airflow means that your internal hardware will run cooler. The cooler your hardware is, the longer it will last and the less likely it will fail. 2. Lower Electricity Bill This is no joke. When a computer is dirty, it causes everything in the computer to run hotter due to lack of airflow. Because everything is hotter, the fans are forced to pull in more air in order to cool the components. So now your fans are using more electricity to spin faster. But it doesn't stop there. Your fans will also use up EVEN MORE energy because they are also dirty themselves. The dirtier a fan is, the harder it has to work in order to spin at the same speed. A clean fan will always use less energy when spinning at the same speed as a dirty fan. 3. A Cleaner Computer Of course! Cleaning your computer means that instead of looking at your dirty old computer, you'll be looking at a sparkling, new looking computer! And who doesn't like looking at new sparkly things? Not only is Sandstorm a place to call when your computer breaks, but we are also a place to call when your computer is working perfectly fine and you'd like it to work even better. Whatever your needs may be, if it involves a computer - we'll help you out. Just pick up your phone and call (760) 835-0461. We are happy to help you out with any questions you may have.
