On-Site Authorization During any on-site service, an adult at least 18 years of age must be present during the entire time that services are being provided. If a technician arrives and their is no adult present, the service will be terminated and a $20 cancellation fee will be assessed. Customer Responsibility It is your responsibility to back up any software or data on your computer or storage devices prior to a technician visited. Sandstorm Technical Services will not be responsible in any way for data loss, change, or corruption. Please be sure that your site contains adequate power for all devices. Sandstorm Technical Services does not provide any hardware or software to be used in an installation. Any hardware devices, components, peripherals, cables, or software must be provided by you. It is your responsibility to provide a safe working environment to the technician. Please be sure any pets are kept in safe location. Virus and Spyware Removal TermsBecause of the varying degree of difficulty presented with removing certain viruses and spyware, special terms are provided. Virus and Spyware removal will not be performed on-site. The technician will fill out two copies of a component intake form and transport the infected computer to Sandstorm. Once the virus and spyware infection is cleaned and the computer is tested, the computer will be redelivered to the customer at no additional charge. Because of the difficulty in removing some viruses and spyware, computers may stay in the shop for up to two full days. Networking TermsAll computers and/or peripherals must be in good working order. Broadband internet service must be installed and in working order, if any internet access is desired, prior to a technician setting up your network. Service GuaranteeNo Fix - No Charge If Sandstorm Technical Services is unable to perform your selected service, you will be refunded for that service. Qualification for refund is determined by the technician. The refund does not include the trip fee. The trip fee is non-refundable. Workmanship Warranty Sandstorm Technical Services warranties its workmanship for a period of 10 days after the service is performed. If you have a problem related to the performed service, please call 760-835-0461, and we will work to remedy your problem quickly and at no cost to you. Sandstorm Technical Services is not responsible for issues caused by changed settings, software upgrades, ISP internet connection, viruses and spyware, or relocation of hardware.
